On May 15, the day of my coveted 21st birthday, a fortune teller in the Big Apple explained that “setting trends and being an influential leader” was in my stars.
I guess she was right.
Even as a little girl I expressed my individuality and convinced my mother to allow me to wear a bright pink boa to the grocery store. Not that pink boas became an instant success among 6 year-olds, but you have to admit the move was bold.
Today, things haven’t changed. While, I’m well-informed of the latest and greatest trends in everything from pop culture to politics, I still love to express myself through my individual style, which on occasion does call for a pink boa on a Saturday afternoon.
